Adam Fuss was born in London England in 1961. In 1982 Fuss moved to New York City where he currently resides. Fuss‘ use of the cameraless photogram and the lensless pinhole camera coupled with simple manipulation of light, expand his work beyond photography’s common use of simple image reproduction. Fuss’ work has been exhibited around the world and his photography can be found internationally in museums, galleries, as well as public and private collections.

“I have an idea and then explore it. My ideas are already encoded with the requisite data about how it will work photographically. I make images in my head the same way I make them on paper. It’s only when I make a picture that I have to keep looking at that I feel I’ve succeeded. I’ve always needed to make images that have a sense, a revelation to the viewer, namely me.” -Adam Fuss
